Layers in TCP / IP network architecture
There is no need for network design, all levels of the reference model to include. This model is TCP / IP reference. In this model, there are four layers. functions of one or more layers are merged into a single layer. This has led to projects flexible networking.
Internet layer:
The increasing demand from the network led to the packet switched network. This layer is called the layer of the Internet in packets that must movefreely across a network. This allows the host to inject packets into the network and let the packets reach their destination, regardless of the road. This service is called service connection where there is no physical connection between host and destination. Packages can be delivered to the destination is out of service, depending on network traffic and the route That package has to travel to a destination. For example, the mail systemdeliver a letter to, and letters of many ports that are unknown to the user. Similar events and the behavior of particles summed users. Internet protocol is implemented in this layer. The size of the package and protocol design of this layer. Routing and congestion is also guaranteed in this layer. The characteristics are the same as for a network layer networkarchitecture.
Transport Layer:
This feature is similar to a low OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) architecture. Make sure the final connection between two computers in question. There are two protocols developed for this layer. One is known as TCP (Transmission Control Protocol). It is a connection-oriented protocol and is the most reliable. Each packet is sent using this protocol in a target sequence. The packages are fragmented andsent to the destination. It also controls the flow of data. It 'very necessary that the source sends packets at a rate faster than the ability of recipient countries. Packages can be lost due to congestion. Flow control is necessary in this scenario. The second protocol is UDP (User Datagram Protocol). And 'unreliable, connectionless protocol for fast transmission, such as audio and video streaming applications.
application layer: This layer is the highprotocols. Little is SMTP (email), FTP (File Transfer Protocol), HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol). It 'also known as virtual terminal protocol.
Host for the network layers: the physical connection between the machines down in this layer. LAN, WAN, MAN is short.
